1. Key Thinkers Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age; enrolled as a full-time student at a post-secondary institution, including an accredited college, university, or trade school, in the United States; and have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Submit: An online application and 500 – 750 word essay on financial responsibility.

AWARD: $1,000

2. Ken Burnett Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Eligibility: Any high school senior or undergraduate student of African American or Caribbean descent who is studying animal science, zoology, or biology may apply for this scholarship, but students who have experience in animal advocacy or animal care will be given preference.

Submit: Short video on why you’re passionate about animal advocacy and how you plan to continue your advocacy through your career of choice.

AWARD: $2,000

3. Linda “Noni” Anderson Memorial Music & Arts Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Eligibility: Any low-income high school senior or undergraduate who has at least a 3.0 GPA and plans to study in arts or music may apply for this scholarship.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay on why you’re passionate about the arts and what piece of art or music is the most important to you. Additionally, submit 1-2 pieces of your creative portfolio in either music or arts.

AWARD: $5,000

4. Ryan T. Herich Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Eligibility: Any high school senior, two or four-year undergraduate, or graduate student studying or planning to study one of these majors is eligible: political science, cultural anthropology, geography, or history.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay about yourself and how you plan to make a difference in the world by better understanding how the lessons learned from history, cultural anthropology, political science or geography might make the world a better place.

AWARD: $5,100

6. Jennifer Webb-Cook Gameplan Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Eligibility: High school seniors who are student athletes from single-parent households are eligible to apply if they are continuing their athletic careers on the college level.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay about the obstacles you’ve had to overcome coming from a single-parent household and how sports have impacted your life.

AWARD: $3,735

7. Joshua L. Anderson Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Eligibility: Open to any high school baseball or softball player who will be or has graduated from a Northern Nevada high school and plans on attending college.

Submit: Completed application (online or by mail), one letter of recommendation, transcripts, self-photo, and 500 word personal statement.

AWARD: $5,000
