August is the last month of summer, so you may be thinking about going back to school.

Even though some students don't go back to school until the beginning of September, we know that many of you will be shopping for school supplies and finishing up your summer reading.

August is also a great time to apply for scholarships, whether you are a high school senior, a college freshman, or a senior in college.

1. Christian Connector Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be a current high school freshman, sophomore, or junior interested in attending a Christian university or college.

2. "A Helping Hand” Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

3. “Making Waves” Scholarship for Women

Scholarship Description:

Women currently attending high school, college, technical/vocational, or graduate school are eligible to apply. Homeschooled students are also eligible. To apply for this scholarship, login to your Scholarships360 account (or create an account), and submit a minimum 250-word essay in response to the following prompt: How will earning the $500 "Making Waves" Scholarship for Women help you fulfill your dreams?

4. Supermom Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

The $2,000 Supermom Scholarship is designed to help undergraduate and graduate single mothers and those who have been directly impacted by one, on their path to obtaining a college degree. Having a college degree can open many doors for mothers and their children and we want to do everything in our power to help.

5. William A Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Applicant must be a minority student, be an Indiana resident and a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen and admitted or already attending an eligible Indiana institution as a full-time student. To apply: Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a complete William A. Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship Application through ScholarTrack by August 31st. 6. Niche $2,000 No Essay Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

The $2,000 "No Essay" Scholarship is an easy scholarship with no essay required! The scholarship can be used to cover tuition, housing, books, or any education-related expenses. The monthly winner will be determined by random drawing and then contacted directly and announced in Niche's e-newsletter and on the Scholarship Winners page. 7. Baumgartner Law Firm Law Student Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Applicant must be enrolled at an accredited law school. If you have applied to law school and have not yet been accepted, you may apply, but the scholarship will only be awarded to someone accepted and enrolled at an accredited law school at the time of scholarship selection. This scholarship will be awarded based on need and commitment to helping others. The provider will notify the winner by email or a telephone call and will post their winner on the Baumgartner Law Firm Facebook page.

8. Achieve Today Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Submit a video or audio of three to five minutes OR submit an essay of no fewer than 800 words on personal development or high performance.  Competitive candidates will explain one of the following personal development principles and discuss how living that principle made a positive impact in their life or helped to overcome a life challenge.

  4. Focusing on Things You Can Control

9. S.B.B. Research Group STEM Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Open to currently enrolled full-time students pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

Submit: Online application and a 500-word essay on the following topic: What have been your most significant experiences in STEM and how will you use STEM principles to improve the world?

10. The Clubs Of America Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

Any current college student of an accredited U.S. college or university with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 is welcome to apply. Write an essay of no fewer than 600 words about your career aspirations and how your current studies will help you achieve success in your career. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Thinking outside the box is encouraged! YouTube submissions are optional, although not required. Video should be no longer than 5 minutes. (Essays submitted via YouTube must also be submitted in writing.)

There are scholarships out there for most everybody.  Don’t think you have to be the TOP student or TOP athlete to be eligible for a scholarship.
